Website terms

These terms are between Rhett Bussey, who runs Fraser Web Co. ("we"), and the business named on the intake form ("you"). You accept them by ticking the box on the intake form and paying the first invoice.

1. What you get

A website of up to 5 pages (home, services, about, reviews or gallery, contact), built to work on phones, with tap-to-call, a contact form, a map, basic Google setup (page titles, descriptions, sitemap), and redirects from your old page addresses. Two rounds of changes before launch. Not included: online stores, booking systems, member logins or custom software. We can link to a booking or payment service you already use; the site itself never takes card payments.

2. Plans and payment

Prices are in Canadian dollars. GST is not charged (small supplier).

Pay once: $999 for the build — $499.50 to start and $499.50 at launch — plus $49 a month for hosting, the security certificate, backups and small changes whenever you need them (text, photos, hours, services). Your first month of the $49 plan is included; it starts 30 days after launch.

Monthly: $0 to start and $129 a month, with a 12-month minimum. Same site and same care.

Payments are made by card through Stripe. Monthly plans bill automatically on the same day each month. Bigger work, such as new pages or a redesign, is quoted before we start.

3. Timeline and refund guarantee

Work starts when the first payment arrives. If we cannot launch within 14 days of receiving everything on the intake form, for reasons on our side, we refund everything you paid.

4. Your part

Send accurate information, and only photos, logos and text you have the right to use. Keep your domain name registered and renewed — you own it and we never take it over. When it is time to launch, give us access to your domain settings through your provider's shared or delegate access. Never send us a password by email.

5. How we protect your business at launch

We screenshot your current domain settings first, so everything can be put back. We change only the website record. We never touch your email settings and never move your domain to another company. Your old website stays live until the new one is confirmed working. Please keep your old website plan for 14 days after launch before cancelling it.

6. Who owns what

Pay once: once the build is fully paid, the site's design and content are yours. If you stop the $49 monthly plan, we send you a copy of the site files and take the site off our hosting 30 days later.

Monthly: we own the site and you have a licence to use it while the plan is paid. After the 12-month minimum you may cancel with 30 days' notice and the site comes offline, or buy the site outright for $999 and keep the files.

Either way, your name, logo, photos, reviews and text always remain yours.

7. Late payment

If a monthly payment fails, Stripe retries it and we email you. If it is still unpaid after 14 days, we may take the site offline until it is paid. A monthly plan cancelled before month 12 owes the remaining months of the minimum.

8. Hosting and liability

Sites are hosted on a major hosting provider (Cloudflare). We do not control that provider's uptime and are not liable for its outages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost business or profits.

9. Privacy

Messages sent through your website's contact form go to your email address. We keep a copy only as long as needed to confirm delivery and never sell or share them. See our privacy policy.

10. General

Either side may end this agreement with 30 days' written notice, subject to section 7 for monthly plans. To cancel, email info@fraserwebco.ca; we confirm your end date by reply, and you are not charged after it. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia. We may update them with 30 days' notice by email.
